NO TO Bataan Nuclear Power Plant Revival!

The Interfaith Justice and Peace Network (IFJPNet) is in solidarity with all sectors strongly opposing the revival of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). The recent move in the congress to raise from the dead the said anomalous project is an act of ignorance and total denial to the scientific findings that the said power plant is indeed dangerous and risky to the lives of the people and environment in Bataan.

We have not forgotten that the said project of former dictator President Ferdinand Marcos was built with million dollars corruption that went only to the pocket of Marcos and his cronies. Again, reviving the said project is tantamount to an act of deception to the Filipino people who are directly paying the million dollars of loans and interest payments through taxes. Many Filipinos are continually suffering due to corruption of the past administrations particularly the huge corruptions under the administration of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Given the clear pattern of corruptions under this administration, the plan to revive the BNPP is not far to become another source of enormous corruption and additional burden to the Filipino people specially the poor who are incessantly deprived of the basic social services. This is another move of stupidity to revivify the headstone of corruption and put the people and environment in an unacceptable danger and destruction!

NO TO the Revival of Bataan Nuclear Power Plant!

It’s a great privilege to be invited to speak and be a guest to your program.

But I don’t think I can make it in time because I am Mindanao based and I am also on vacation for the Lenten season.

mr. corrales commented inquiring whether I ask permission from SUNNEX before posting his January 2009 article in this blog about the Cagayan de Oro floods.

In that entry, I put the name of mr. corrales as the author of that article. Yet he questioned it because he wants to inquire whether I asked permission from sunstar.

To make the story short, I deleted that entry in my January 2009 archives. Because I felt so negative about his comment, I unintentionally deleted it. I am sorry for that.

Let me clarify that I am not blogging for money. Mainstream media should not feel I am copying their work to my advantage or competing with them. Its not what I intended to do when I started this blog. I am blogging to provide alternative source of information to people. If I may have violated violated some ethics in media rules then may I ask our more knowledgeable people to tell me so.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Lastly this blog only generate 100+ traffic a day. That will give one an idea how insignificant this blog is in the entire Philippine blogosphere.

  10. I am retrieving the original comment of mr. cong corrales in my mailbox. This how it goes.

    cong corrales

i’m just curious. who’s behind the creation of this blog? did you ask permission from sun.star exchange (sunnex) when you culled my article on the january flashfloods of cagayan de oro?

    again, just curious.”

Hey, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will Coming to Carmen, Cagayan de Oro, towards the end of this Month July 24th? or 27th? 2009 for the SONA and ALSO ADDRESS THE 100 Tribal representatives of the IP’s, Indigenous Peoples Concerns. I’d would be interested if anyone here will be there with a ‘camcorder’ and have a 5 to 10 minute video and post it on YouTube what the ‘dialouge’ is all about.

I am pretty sure there will be posts on YouTube on this. Just a request.
